ESPID Case Rounds have been running since 2008. All ESPID members are welcome to participate. ESPID Case Rounds run every month, usually during the last week of each month.
A tutor will introduce a real clinical case and guide you through discussion of the case, together with a moderator from ESPID's Committee for Education. Throughout the week, you are welcome to ask questions and send your replies and comments, as well as to share relevant educational materials.
The main purpose is not to "resolve the case" but to learn and discuss.
ESPID Case Rounds are a great opportunity to learn from real cases and interact with colleagues worldwide.
Also, this year's Case Rounds bring additional benefits for those who present cases:
- Free registration for the next ESPID annual meeting
- The best four cases of each year will be selected by the ESPID Education Committee and recommended to PIDJ (Pediatric Infectious Disease Journal) for potential publication, if the presenters agree to prepare a manuscript in the requested PIDJ format.
If you would like to present an educational case of your own, please contact us at admin@espid.org with a brief description of your case.
The ESPID case rounds enable you to hone your diagnostic skills for clinically challenging infection cases.
ESPID Case Rounds are for all ESPID members.
